You know, you’ve read a children’ book (Sandra Boynton’s Moo, Baa, LA LA LA!) a lot when you can recite it from memory.

Obviously, a 10 month old child doesn’t care and still wants to see the pictures. But, it’s true. I read this line: A cow goes moo. My son smiles every time. Why? Is it beautiful baby poetry? Do I make a good moo sound? Are cows funny? Will I ever know? Probably not, but I will keep reciting this line just to see him smile . . .

What books always make your kids smile?
